GRANADA’S SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TOWARDS A HANDCRAFTED PAIR OFF WHITE NIKE SHOES BY
SURGEON & BODENHORST FEATURING AUTHENTIC METEORITE SWOOSHES.

GRANADA, a natural history inspired gallery, is proud to announce that they have partnered with Bodenhorst and SURGEON, a collective of Los Angeles creatives focused on inspiring creativity and craftsmanship, founded by Dominic ‘The Surgeon’ Ciambrone. Together they have redesigned and customized a remarkable pair of Nike shoes based on the Nike Off-White’s that incorporate a 4.56 billion year old meteorite, resulting in a stunning creation called “Interstellar”.

The most striking feature of this unique creation is the swoosh symbol on the shoes,
which is made entirely from a piece of meteorite. The beautiful widmanstätten pattern of the meteorite is prominently displayed, adding to the extraordinary appeal of the shoes. Belgian leathercraft company Bodenhorst developed the leather for the shoes, with the design visualizing the surface of the moon. Granada has previously collaborated with Bodenhorst to create unique leather packaging and cases, making this partnership a seamless integration of craftsmanship.

The meteorite, with an impressive age of 4.56 billion years, symbolically reflects the time span of the sun’s existence. This extraordinary collaboration combines the oldest materials in our solar system with handcrafted leather and contemporary footwear, creating a fascinating harmony between art and science.
